Goal(s):
- Process and tune materials with microstructural, chemical, and phase control toward enhanced mechanical and structural functionality
- Design, develop, and understand high temperature alloys, including next generation systems such as high entropy alloys (multiprincipal element alloys) for applications in aerospace, defense, and energy.
- Combine AI/ML-guided exploration of phase and local order with combinatorial and high throughput methodologies to drive development of sustainable and superior alloys, ranging from refractory systems to lightweight, corrosion-resistant alloys.
